This means that the original landowners still own and use their land, but the Land Trust holds a conservation easement which restricts development on their property. The Middle Park Land Trust works with other state and national land trusts to help preserve the scenery, agriculture, wildlife and biodiversity in Grand County. There are over 25,000 acres of land in Grand County under conservation easement. |
