ClosDuVal

1985 Clos du Val Merlot Magnum

A Magnum of 1985 Clos du Val Merlot, never sold at retail, as magnums are limited and sold only occasionally in the tasting room.

This Merlot is a deep ruby color with garnet tones and has a bouquet rich with ripe fruit and delicate hints of black currant and cedar. This is an elegant Merlot with deep, rich mouthfilling fruit and a long, soft finish. Exquisitely balanced and smooth, it is delicious for drinking now and will develop even more complexity and charm with additional bottle aging.

Minimum bid: $150.00

Verso

Case Verso Cellars 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Wine

This first release from Verso Cellars East Orchard Mesa vineyard is a plush, rich concentrated young Cabernet with layers of dark cherry, blackberry and currant that are vibrant and harmonious, blending with hints of nutmeg, clove and cinnamon spice notes. From the initial dark berry nose, the wine builds intensity, revealing extra nuances of black cherry and dark chocolate, with subtle hints of smoke on the palate, ending in a remarkable complex aftertaste. Serve with beef, lamb, hard cheese and dark chocolate. Wonderful upon rlease, this wine will continue to evolve with proper cellaring. Everything seems to be in right proportion for a long future. 2300 cases made.
